Big Data
According to Gartner Analysts, “Big Data” will be one of the top 10 Strategic Technologies that most companies have to address in 2012. “Big Data” is a popular term used to acknowledge the exponential growth, availability and use of information in the data rich landscape of tomorrow.
We agree with them that solving “Big Data” challenges involves more than just managing high volumes of information. The ability to manage this data will be a core competency and a too narrow focus will force massive reinvestment in the next 2 to 3 years.
The DISC Library Series have been in the market since the 1980s and stand firm as the most reliable solution for past, present and future data challenges, since its inception from CD, up to the latest Blu-ray technology.
In 2011, the first upgrades to 100GB BDXL technology have been performed at numerous client sites. This validates DISC´s commitment to deliver long-term solutions based on industry standards while providing a true green storage technology enabling the lowest power consumption available today.
We look forward to a very exciting 2012 and working closely with our strategic partners and customers worldwide. We will keep you informed of the latest product developments and release dates.
Thank you for your support in 2011. It has been a pleasure working with you and we wish you the happiest of Holidays and a prosperous New Year!
